what we see
colored by perspective

what we hear
tainted by opinion

he sat on the bench watching the world, while seeing none of it, his mind was far away from where his eyes stared, lost in the sands of yesterday

the first time she walked past him his heart skipped a beat, she was, and continues to be, the most beautiful woman he ever saw, and he had to speak to her

the butterflies in his stomach turned to rabid squirrels when her eyes caught his, his spine turned to rubber, yet he forced himself to speak

the world kept spinning as he replayed every second, every kiss, every fight, trying to find the reason his world fell apart when she walked out of it

things seen
clouded by memory

words heard
twisted by hope
