run

she and i were running through a field. the flowers in bloom and pollen filled the air like faery dust. i could feel the pollen attacking my lungs and filling my head with fuzz. she ran on, unknowing or uncaring at my slowing steps. i sank to my knees, wanting to call out but not having the breath. the world spun in and out of focus. she was no longer in view. i hope she keeps running. it is too late for me.
