as a rabid would be
dictator deems tarrifs
to be the only possible
way forward despite
the citizens bearing
the brunt of his idiocy
uncaring about the
plight of the degradation
leaving the corpse of
the muddled middle class
as a sediment line in
the strata pushing him
and his fellow oligarchs
higher as they crush
the skeletons to dust
while blaming his enemies
for his reckless actions

even pawns are shown more
respect in a game of chess
while this oragnutan slams
the tablle as he demands to be
considered a grand master
who thinks he should be
crowned as he clumsily plays
checkers with our lives
as his misconstrued pieces

ivory towers keep the rabble
slowly starving to death far
enough away to be considered
as acceptable losses in this
war on common sense as he sits
demanding praise as he ruins
another business in a long
line of failed ventures used
to only further his lies
while keeping him free of
the prison he was destined for
until the sheep elected the
toothless wolf back to office
