anxious
anxious
fettered brain
filled with
dandelion dander
shallow breaths
anxious
so many
thoughts
at the same
time.
i can see
my heartbeat
in the leaves of the trees
i see
my soul
in the oil stained
pavement
i see
my reflection
in the fun house mirror
never knowing
the face
that stares back
i’m not okay
baby
but this too
shall pass
anxious
anxious
fettered brain
filled with
dandelion dander
there’s smoke
on the horizon
of yesterday’s
dreamfuckery
Breathing in, I am present even with this wild bird fluttering inside my chest.. this is my life just wanting me to acknowledge it ❤

the parakeet in my chest cage hears your song, my friend. anxious birds make the most beautiful trilling.
