Dark Carnival is out now. I got to work side by side with my good friend Eleanor Merry at Macabre Ladies. We started with 120 stories and managed to whittle it down to the 13 amazing tales included. This collection of dark tales is not exactly what you may suspect, it goes different places than you may expect. I am very proud to have worked on this and honored to have written the foreword as well. The final story, Pindick, is one of the best stories I have read in a long while.
Fairy Tale Horrorshow is a new anthology coming soon that features twisted takes on fairy tales and includes my story, Piper. I tried my hand at dark fantasy and the general consensus has been positive over my retelling the tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin.
ABCs of Terror vol 3 is also coming soon but I couldn’t find a link to share. This will be my third consecutive appearance in the series with, T is for Typewriter. I’ve read a few of the stories and they are great. P is for Potato was read to me by the author and I snorted on more than once occasion. A is for Aquanet is also a great story.
There are a few more stories out there in as yet unannounced anthologies, and my progression as a writer is beginning to show. I am telling the stories I want to tell and that is a wonderful feeling. My thanks to the editors that have given me the freedom to tell these stories that don’t fit the mold necessarily.
Meeting with the other heads of Cerberus, who have the most amazing things going on behind the scenes and it is a joy to behold, this weekend. We have a few projects in the works that are pretty awesome, more as soon as I can gush openly. Go to Potter’s Grove Press store and grab my exclusive chapbooks and Smell of Cedar by River Dixon.
As always, thanks for coming along for the ride, dear reader. Your support means the world to me. Hugs and sloppy wet kisses from the fool.
