is truly
the sincerest
form of flattery
why is it so
fucking frustrating
seeing people
whose entire
online personas
are copy pasted
from my profile

they adopt
mannerisms and
idiosyncrasies
and i cannot tell
if they believe
no one notices
simply because
they do not
acknowledge it
or if they think
they are clever
chameleons
camouflaged in
plain sight

it makes being
authentic difficult
when the clones
seem so convincing
and ignoring them
seems to only
strengthen their resolve
but while they try
desperately to do
what i was born to
i just watch them
pantomiming a fool
they can never hope
to fully replicate
