tremors run
down my spiderweb soul
anxieties plucked
freshly as winter
drapes her pale arms
to keep me cold
on the long weekend
spent alone watching
crystals form
a chaotic latticework
slowly consuming
the gray world
just beyond my reach
every other song
reminds me of playing
in the ashes where
love once burned away
the cobwebs in my mind
giving me momentary
focus to flourish
before the embers
went cold in the heart(h)
choked to death by
the tendrils hanging from
an overfull dreamcatcher
serving as a surrogate
to a proper anchor above
a flashfrozen fool trying
to find her once more
before the icy disdain
consumes the universe whole
