is the world
stuttering
or have i
fallen into
the wobble
where the liquid
core is sloshing
causing it to
jerk emphatically
whenever i stop
to catch my breath

maybe it’s me
trailing tiny
cataclysms in
a row behind me
causing tremors
leaving ruins
in the shape of
cartoon hearts
wherever i go
