the thoughts that echo as sleep draws near

he died on the toilet

burst a blood vessel trying to force and expulsion

lived like he died

his greatest fear was his final act

he’d be happy to know as his last breath rattled from him

and everything relaxed as he slumped face first into the tiled floor

he was a success in the end

thirty seconds too late

she died in the tub

suffered an embolism as she worked her way into position so the jet could hit that magic spot

died as she lived

her great desire her end

everything relaxed as she slipped under the surface and water filled her lungs

she was close to completion

it isn’t always a blaze of glory

or saving orphans from a fire

sometimes it is dumb luck coupled with fate’s sick sense of humor

stress, distress, regress, progress

ulterior motives and motion sickness

unpossible to predict

impossible to understand
