if

if i die tonight
know every day was a gift
even through the pain

light one lone candle
and place it in the window
to guide my spirit

just call out my name
and i will come to see you
my love will survive

every soft whisper
crosses past the great divide
and pulls me to you

to your warm full lips
each beat of your hurting heart
nestled in your arms

i would have given
anything to see your face
one last longing gaze

if i die tonight
light that candle to guide me
and i’ll be with you

even as a ghost
you will feel my love for you
a chill down your spine

feel my gentle touch
my ghost breath on your pale neck
and spectral kisses

i am always near
just on the veils other side
loving from afar

          1. Your philosophy has a point, better to share than not to share.
And it’s funny that some things sound less harsh if only implied, like this for example.
            But
Maybe one wants it to be harsh. So we can see the softness of the other side really clearly to where we almost feel it.
            I see you 😉
