if i have learned anything
which admittedly
may not be the case
despite
the best teachers
a series of life lessons
and
a heartbreaking stretch
of failures
it all accumulates
into one
important message
if you can find
your silence
deep down
in the chaos
of your mind
listen to it
it is
a damn bit smarter
than all the knowledge
you’ve gathered
than the voices
that scream
it has seen all of it
yet it doesn’t feel the need
to speak
but
what do i know
i am just a fool
that writes shitty poetry
alone
in the dark
