there was a seashell
on the shelf
long forgotten
was the sea
there was a post card
from far away
that had become
domesticated over time
there was a wind
that blew through
that had once tangled
the snowy mountaintops
and danced
along the waves
there was
a tortoise
a woman
a blind man
and the oily sunshine
of better days
gone past
yet still to come
was the storm
with an errant fluff
of pollen
in the crossed eyes
of fate
but that comes
later
possibly
before
I don’t know how I missed this one
And when I realized I missed it I was mad
And had to reread the entire thing lol
