we all knew the truth

his story
had so many
holes
in it
you could
back the moon
through
the inconsistencies
his vagueries
implications
while never
truly
saying anything
at all
trying to
convince
everyone
anything
they did
he did better

a master of
oneupmanship
willing to
do whatever
it took
to get a
moment
in the spotlight
no matter
everyone
saw through him
and his
paperthin lies.

he was good
for a
laugh
even better
to laugh
at
because he
had no idea

we all knew the truth.
