a symphony of sparrows to write her name in cursive across the morning sky

she is
the lightening sky
to the east
a warm penumbral glow
promising more
than the long
sleepless night
could ever give

i am
distant thunder
a ruination
in anxietal waves
tectonic malaise
in grinding plates
faintly reverberating
over hollow tombs

together
we interweave
disparate tragedies
into a tapestry of
dreamshatter reveries
blinding intensities
focused into a single beam
of beautiful destruction

i etch
her smile across
the indifferent ceiling
connecting dots
in this unholy chapel
of desperate desires
burning the afterimages
into stained glass refrains

a biblical dissonance
where the divinity
in her perfection
casts the shadows
in which i hide
a modern day prophet
bleeding testimonials
in a chaos of wildflowers

a symphony of sparrows
to write her name in cursive
across the morning sky.
