(erase) me, (delete) me from your mind, sleep without my presence, this obnoxious dream i personify
nails across a chalkboard, scissors down your spine, a spider dancing on your forehead
did you know that it was love at first light, infatuation by candle, desire in the glow of the moon
(release) me, (take) me, like frantic gulps of stale air, drink my every intention until none remain
let me be your sustenance, your guilty pleasure, your dirty secret, the one whose name you scream
allow me to penetrate your soul, your skull, nestled in the folds of your brain like a babe in the womb
(re)make me into whatever origami shape fits your need, just make me (yours) or (nothing) at all
I read this perhaps in the poetry collection. it is a great piece, how I missed that, strange. Anyway…
