kafka and i
shared tea
while hiding behind
the thick dusty curtains
as burroughs
banged
on the front door
he had
a haunted look
in his sunken eyes
as ginsberg
ran naked
from behind a bush
with a shrill cry
i saw a cockroach
the size of a large dog
scurry into the kitchen
with a newspaper
under it’s front leg
turned
to the jobs section
i carefully set
my tea cup down
onto carrol’s hat brim
as he scribbled
into a notebook
while frantically
checking his watch
Blend and spread across the page. I like it!
