a moment

she stares at me with huge brown eyes that shimmer like a black hole drawing me into the powerful gravitational pull of eternity

my every urge is to wrap my arms around her neck and hug her tightly to accept her gift of pure innocent affection with no ulterior motives

we stare for the entire length of a red light, lost in one another’s gaze, a singular moment of soul bonding lost in an era of modern separation through silica screen

then she is gone, the blue trailer rocking with the sudden movement, her gentle face back in with the other cattle, her last gaze before eating hay of loss

  1. That’s a beautiful experience. A loving connection… only meant for a single moment. You captured the magic. Kinda might cry now. Yeah… what the lovely lady up there said… you’re good, Mike.
