there were these
faint
amber pulses
that seemed to
flicker
at the very edge of
the very edge of
the very edge of
my vision
whenever she came
into the room.
like the iridescent
trail of glitter
a cartoon fairy
leaves behind her
as she darts
directly
into the face of
a villain.
they
sent some sort of
morse code
directly along my
optical nerve
to crash
into my brain
like a semi filled with
pheromones.
then one day
in a fit of rage
the little pulses
flared
to bright crimson
before
falling to the floor
in a succinct
pile of ash.
but i
remember
those amber pulses
with the clarity of
waking from dream
in
longing.
This is really good in image visual and sound of the poem when reading quietly aloud

haven’t read it out loud yet, been a while since I have done that.

If I have ever put out an audio poetry collection, I would love to invite you to do the honorable reading.
