under the stars
in front of the
fancy houses of
the rich
long fallen asleep
on mattresses stuffed
with money
i had
your perfume
in my nostrils
the strands of your hair
wrapped tight
around my fingers
your lips pressed hard
filled with desire
as our tongues
did an intricate
dance of need
in a parked car
in this neighborhood
we clearly
didn’t belong in
the stars
could only wink
in shame
at your beauty
the moon hid itself
behind wispy clouds
as that fevered need
was the only possiblity
that made sense
i can still
taste you
smell you
feel you
if i close my eyes
sometimes
i fear
that moment
was the only real one
i will ever know
under those stars
long ago
I adore this
