decayed necessity

the sky is
impregnated by
aerial mycelium
fluffy clouds
connected through
a simple network
conveying a sense
of pervasive
neuralgic demise

while my heart
is forgotten truffle
buried in rot
beneath the roots
scrabbling for
nutrients in the
depleted soil of
onyx dreamshards
and irradiated joy

we stuntedly grow
alone yet symbiotic
in a fluid matrix
of recycled sorrows
sharing every agony
to be lost in the web
where miseries coalesce
in fields of fungus
sprouting eagerly
from the corpse of
decayed necessity
