rearranged

mountains don’t rise until after the earthquake, the caves don’t form without the stream

glaciers carved the plains into valleys, the volcanos created the islands of paradise

every crag so painstakingly accidentally created, random works of wonder

what will happen to me now that i have discovered you, what new piece will be formed, be taken off

time will tell, but i will happily welcome the changes you bring with the magic of your touch

resculpt the jagged pieces, the clay of my insecurities into the armor to protect you

rearrange my scars onto subtle camouflage in which to blend into your dreams of the perfect man

  1. There one super interesting line to me and one I identify with. The resculpt line.
It’s always been fascinating to me that I can change for other people, people I love, so much easier than making changes for myself it things I need.
I think it’s because I love them more than me. Maybe it’s everyones way. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

      1. I don’t know, but if I need to change something in order to protect someone I love, it’s done.
But I think actually yes, it’s definitely about a deep heart connection that inspires it

  2. That’s a good piece all in all. My own mind goes to Frank Herbert’s story about a fool watching a donkey pass his fence day after day through a single missing slat. One day the fool stands up in exultation; “I get it! The head causes the tail!”

Temporal mechanics being outside my reach, I like to think we all have positive potential, and the potential to do harm by inattention or inactivity. I have paid too much attention to my own potential to do harm, because I have felt wronged. But I’m working on it.

Pleasure to meet you, kind sir.
