she
was
safety
a
shelter
from
the storms
that
rage
inside
of me
she
was
church
or
more
likely
an
asylum
with her
the demons
feared
her light
the voices
stopped
the sun
still
shined
hope
sprang
eternal
but she
grew
tired
of the waves
of the sea
the
constant
battering
the
hurricane
that is
me
assaulted
her serenity
with
but
she was
a
beacon
she was
a
haven
and
then
it was quiet but the storm still raged in that sullen silence it raged and raged and raged with no voice but choking sobs that raised the water levels
and
the storm wall
crumbled
the levee
broke
now i drift
on
an ocean
of
my own
malice
missing her
love the deep set emotions
