the miles tick by
nothing but trees
along the roadside
no buildings
of concrete glass and steel
i feel as lost
in the countryside
as i do
surrounded by millions
in the city

I always find myself when out in the wilds. You might not like Alaska. You can drive a long way without seeing a soul or house or anything….

I love the tranquility of it, but I am a city mouse. I don’t know what I would think of all that wilderness.
