anise

she
trickled little
anise flavored kisses
across
the pallid skin of
eternity
with the unrestrained
sexual force
of a hurricane
damaging all
who dare
cross her
path.

she
is a behemoth of
mottled rage
beneath
an exterior of
divine beauty.

as
easy to love
as
an umber sunset
as
impossible to hold
as
the gale force winds.

nature is meant
to be
appreciated
sometimes from
a safe distance.

she
is a whispered
tale
told over campfires
with
trembling fear
incorrigible desire
and
catastrophic ends.

she
trickled
anise flavored kisses
across
my blue lips
a final taste of
eternity
between
ivory bloodflecked
teeth
and
forked tongue.

        1. Hahahaha. Sometimes when I’m driving I get a word or sound stuck in my craw. Then I do these pathetic word games to entertain myself. The word that morphed into anise brought the whole thing on.
