tense

i am
past tense
hovering
somewhere
just outside of
present
stressedanxious
beyond tense
freely
traversing
temporal anomalies
knotted
into the shoulders
balancing
the globe

she sits
patiently
a peony petal
motionless
on the placid
surface
directly in
the eye of my
tornadic sense of
self destruction
a counter
rotation
to the heartshatter
in serpentine
remnants
tearing me apart
from within

she is
future tense
self aware
running
the numbers
calculating
the next move
in real time
anxietydoubt
occasionally
tugging
my pant leg
to snap me back
to now
whenever
that was

but there is magic in present tense, a comforting feeling in being able to spin madly in our own reality within the overlap of our venn diagram we euphorically inhabit in right now, that in her eyes is the call of a shared now
