i close ny eyes
and my heartbeat
fills my skull
the thoughts
they keep comin
on throughout
another aleepless
night in hell

i need drugs
or perhaps held
but i can’t afford
the former and
don’t seem to
deserve the latter
so it is a night
spent tossing and
turning while
seeking the dreams
that do little
but haunt me
