something about moss and boulders

tar drips
languidly from
the carcinogenic
cloud cover
leaving a film
coating each
and every
prayer
so they sink
to the overflowing gutters
where they float
amongst all of
the best intentions.

this carefully
constructed solitude
has settled into
a permanence
after being fed
a steady diet of
disinterestandsilence
as it torrentially
storms on a sunny day.
