dreamt a dream where a dream came true
and as the dream came true a former flame did her best to burn it down
when the alarm went off i fought responsibility to stay and see where it would go
but then woke up less than awake with this aching ache
now i want to fall back in and see the results of a dream come true but the dream is gone
bitter sprigs and heavy heart are all that start the day
i’m not one for omens
good nor bad
because i am one for omens
even if they all seem nefarious
head wrapped in fuzzy feedback loops to the dream where a dream came true
met with incredulous dispassionate disinterest from the eyes of cold embers long burnt out
Well perhaps you dreams within those dreams will be made reality… you know, minus the unpleasant bits.

If life has taught me anything, the unpleasant bits will take a starring role

Well… we can always dream for a time that isn’t so, right?

Aesop Rock has a song called No Regrets and it just a lovely story. The summation of it is Lucy lived the dream she wanted to be from day one and never dreamt. That’s my goal I think. To be the dream I’ve always wanted to be. Just, you know, broken and depressed as it I live it.
