she was so concerned he would leave her that when he finally left her it was a relief

she willed him away with every ounce of her self doubt and insecurities

but when you ask her

she will tell you she always knew he had a roving eye even as she handed him the binoculars

so he plays arch villain in an act he never rehearsed for, on a stage he didn’t know was staged from the get go

he was happy with her until she kept telling him he wasn’t and finally the facade cracked

love is funny that way
