an ocean

human shape
an unsharpened pencil
incapable
of making beauty

on the other hand
are
the most spectacularly
beautiful
thing
i have ever seen
in hindsight

am the dead sea
and
you
are the bountiful ocean
if i ever find a way
to sharpen myself
i will not rest
until
i sketch you
in all the wonder

You most definitely are NOT the Dead Sea. Why do I know this? Well. The Dead Sea is “dead” because water flows into it but nothing flows out. Living lakes/ponds do so by having water flow in and water also flowing out. You, dear sir, are overflowing with love and life and beauty and art flowing, gushing forth from you. You also receive those same things unto yourself. You are a deliciously lovely life-giver….. you just refuse to see it.
