poetry
will never be the answer
it won’t bring
her heart closer
it is empty
devoid
poetry
doesn’t feed the hungry
it doesn’t hold
it doesn’t wipe away
the longing
the need
poetry
is a dead end
a razor edge
an out of key symphony
in a piss stained alley
leading no where
poetry is nothing
yet it is all i have

I disagree with this poem, depending on the person you decide to direct it towards
Poetry can save us, can save another, can save relationships, but only if presented properly. Poetry doesn’t always have to be written to exist.

it was aimed internally. I’m sure it works for others though.
