I broke, we broke,
like moonlight over that shadowy elm, like sunlight under the bedroom door,
spilling my insides all over, i bathed in her shimmering aura
My petals hit the ground
like tear drops, i reached frantically at the airy bits of color,
and my stems have broken at the roots, dandelion dander drifts decadently down down down,
Replay after replay, all that exists is that moment,
until I can’t tell the difference
between water and glass, she swims above me beneath me inside of me,
until after I dive in, she is gone
Shattered by your absence, shattered, by your absence
EC is now and and i knew from the moment i first read her words, one of the most brilliant writers on the globe. Writing with her is like breathing.
That was beautiful. You two are by far the most talented poets I jave ever had the pleasure of reading. My heart aches. So you did good.

This reads as one, that close, no join, no edge between the two of you…
