Preorders have gone live for Dead Heat from the guys at Crimson Pinnacle Press. It is another great lineup that I am happy to be part of. An anthology of dark tales set at the end of Summer, it features my tale ‘Red Moon Over Red River Station’, a tale of four friends on the last camp out before college and the repressions they face twenty years later. A tumultuous time as these lifelong friends face the future that is rushing in on them with one last night camping by the old graveyard that is all that remains of Red River Station, a formerly thriving community located on the Chisholm Trail at the border of Texas and Oklahoma. What awaits them under the light of the bloody moon?

I am proud of this one, a story I struggled over that my favorite person helped me define. As per normal with one of my tales, it doesn’t go where you think it will. I can’t wait for you to read it when it comes out September 9th. As always, thank you for reading.
