the wind blows
off of the calm ocean
she rocks
on a hammock
between two palm trees
a plate
of cucumbers and celery
on the small bamboo table
as the dolphins
play on the waves
she smiles
with a face of serenity
a smile
that makes the world
brighter
for witnessing it
does she see him
standing in the distance
eyes glued to her
the love rolling
off of him
onto her
like the lazy waves
on the sand
it doesn’t matter
he is
as content to be ready
to answer
her every whim
as he is
to breathe
for she is all
This one made me smile and wish I was in that hammock by the beach!! Beautiful, Mike!
