i didn’t fall in love with you
no
it wasn’t a fall
it was more being pushed
pulled
sucked in
a tornado came from out of nowhere and grabbed me and launched me through the air
i didn’t fall
a portal opened beneath my feet when your words hit my brain
my heart leapt and gravity had some small part as my stomach dropped
there was no controlled descent
though it feels like flying
but i didn’t fall in love with you
i just did i was born to do
his tattered rags and torn and bloodied feet left a trail behind him, he was inexplicably drawn, through exhaustion and beyond the limits of endurance, one step at a time, a full sprint forward, disregarding common sense and logic, faster and faster he ran, he didn’t know where he went, just that he had to get there, pulled by some force beyond his understanding, a need that rose from inside and outside, a low and high pressure system of want and need, blindly flailing through a world he could never be a part of but desperately watched, on and on he moved, shedding bits of himself, a trail of past regret and future joy, eyes searching for that beacon sounding just over the next mountain top, the clarion bell sweetly ringing in his chest
I really love this
